Sci-Fi Book Club: “Childhood’s End”

Join the Curry Public Library Sci-Fi Book Club as we read the 1953 classic Childhood’s End by Arthur C. Clarke!

After aliens peacefully invade Earth, they coerce humanity into creating a “golden age” of peace, health and prosperity. Most people are happy but some have doubts. How much is this costing humanity? Are these aliens friends, or are they colonizers? Do people have any choice in shaping their future?

Let’s read and talk about this novel that inspired so many other alien invasion stories for generations to come.

“Childhood’s End” is fairly short and straightforward — great for existing Sci-Fi readers and those just getting into it.
