Head Start/Early Head Start

South Coast Head Start is a comprehensive early childhood program that serves children and pregnant women of income eligible families throughout the Southern Oregon Coast. The program is funded by both state and federal grants. All services are provided at no cost to the families.

Healthy Families Oregon

Healthy Families Oregon (HFO) is a free family support and parent education home visiting program. Home visitors support parents in cultivating and strengthening a nurturing, positive relationship with their baby at each visit. Many families are eligible for home visits with a trained home visitor, who coaches them as they build their skills as parents and help their baby be safe, healthy, and learn.

WIC (Women, Infants, and Children)

WIC provides healthy foods, nutrition education, and breastfeeding support to low-income families in Curry County. You may qualify for WIC if you are pregnant, a new mom, or if you have a baby or young child under the age of 5.

South Coast Regional Early Learning Hub

In 2015 the South Coast Regional Early Learning Hub (SCREL) was established as one of the 16 regional Early Learning Hubs. The South Coast Region encompasses Coos, Curry, and Coastal Douglas Counties. SCREL works in partnership with families, schools, early childhood professionals, healthcare providers, and others to promote equity and systems change in our region.

Curry County Breastfeeding Resource Alliance is a group of moms and breastfeeding professionals in Curry County, Oregon, supporting one another on their breastfeeding journeys.
