Restorative Qigong: 4 Part Series
Join us Fridays in June at 10am for Restorative Qigong faciliated by Chris Van Schaack. This offering if free and open to the public; participants will be asked to sign a waiver at the first session.
Description: Subtle movements to affectionately observe and invigorate body, mind and spirit! Practicing Qigong improves strength and balance while lowering tension and anxiety. One might describe it as blending physical therapy with joyful dance. Often day to day responsibilities take so much attention we have little time or energy to simply check-in with ourselves or others. Practicing Qigong is a wonderful way to renew ones connection to the sensational experience of being alive, to maintain our wellbeing, to support recovery and healing.
Facilitator: Chris Van Schaack began enjoying Qigong in 2015 under the guidance of Jace Knox, a Portland based instructor of the North American Tang Shou Tao. As a certified Laughter Yoga and Laughter Wellness Teacher, Chris enjoys cultivating a light-hearted atmosphere, focusing on a connective journey rather than a destination.
