Darlene staffs the library service desk, maintains order on the library shelves, and coordinates the sale of donated books. When Darlene is not at the library, she likes to hang out with her cats, read, draw, bake, watch Survivor, and go to the beach. Her favorite choices for reading are cookbooks, children’s books, and anything to do with animals and art.

Perry is the Riley Creek School side coordinator for the library’s After School Commitment to Education & Development (ASCEND) program. This after school program for middle school and high school students is funded by U.S. Department of Education 21st Century Community Learning Center program. Rebecca plans and coordinates library events, programs, and publicity, and is the library’s main contact for room reservations. Rebecca’s interests outside the library include local food, and hiking with her dog, Boon. She enjoys reading a variety of genres, but especially non-fiction and fantasy. Jordan pursues her passion for learning by checking out as much non-fiction from across the Dewey range as she thinks she could possibly read. Jeremy has worked as a librarian in non-profit, academic, and public libraries. He has a master’s degree in library and information science from the University of Washington. In addition to working as a librarian, Jeremy is a historian who has written about the history of books, publishing, and literature. His area of focus is Oregon’s literary history. Brandon spends his time away from the library working on building computers and playing video game machines he has fixed. CHILDREN’S SERVICES LIBRARIAN
Kelly is responsible for services to prenatal through 5th grade youth and families. She has a master’s degree in social work with a certificate in animal-assisted therapy and a passion for children’s literature and enrichment. She also studied abroad and integrates Spanish into story times for early foreign language exposure. Outside of the library (or her nose in a book), you will most likely find her enjoying the outdoors, dreaming up home decorating ideas and projects, or corralling her two little boys, two cats, and 15 chickens. Her favorite books often come from the children’s section, but also include topics on Christianity, marriage and family, neuropsychology, education, gardening, as well as a wide variety across the non-fiction section. Rusty plans and coordinates teen outreach and programs, and career navigation for opportunity youth. Rusty is an avid football fan and youth football coach. He enjoys spending time out in the woods of southern Oregon hunting for mushrooms and observing wildlife. He enjoys a variety of genres and authors, but leans toward non-fiction and fantasy/sci-fi.
